APF and New Diamond Set to Face Off in Women’s Final; APF vs Police in Men’s Final at Lamachaur Cup Volleyball Championship

Kaski, Sep 5: In the Lamachaur Cup Open National Women’s and Men’s Volleyball Championship held at Lamachaur, Pokhara, the final matches have been set. APF will face New Diamond in the women’s final, while in the men’s category, APF will compete against Nepal Police.

Both APF teams have made it to the finals, with the matches to be played on August 21 at Indrarajyalakshmi Secondary School’s playground. In the women’s league stage, New Diamond secured their spot in the finals by defeating APF 3-0 in straight sets. New Diamond won the first set 25-18 and narrowly took the second and third sets 25-23 each.

In the men’s category, Nepal Police secured their final spot early. APF also advanced to the final after defeating Gandaki 3-0 in a rescheduled match. APF lost the first set 25-18, won the second set 25-23, and took the third set 25-16 to clinch the victory.

The championship offers cash prizes for the top three teams in both categories, with the winners receiving Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand 111, the runners-up Rs 1 lakh 111, and the third-placed teams Rs 50 thousand 111, along with trophies, medals, and certificates.
