Kathmandu, Sept 27: The second Test match between India and Bangladesh was interrupted by rain on the first day, allowing only 35 overs of play on Friday.
After losing the toss, Bangladesh opted to bat first. Mominul Haque remained unbeaten with 40 runs, while Mushfiqur Rahim is on 6. Sri Lankan captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto was dismissed for 31 runs, and opener Zakir Hasan was also sent back to the pavilion.
India’s Akash Deep claimed two wickets, and R Ashwin took one. The first day’s play was cut short due to rain, and the match will resume tomorrow. India is currently leading the two-match series 1-0 after winning the first Test.
