Nepal Secures Second Victory in ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier
Kathmandu, Nov 7: Nepal achieved its second consecutive win in the ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier held in the UAE, defeating Kuwait by a massive 108 runs on Thursday.
Chasing a target of 131 runs set by Nepal, Kuwait managed only 22 runs in 13 overs. Earlier, Nepal, after winning the toss, batted first and posted 130 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.
Nepal had already secured a 67-run win against Thailand in their opening match. Kuwait, on the other hand, suffered its second consecutive loss, having been defeated by the host UAE in their first match.
Nepal’s next match is scheduled against UAE on Saturday.
The qualifying tournament features Nepal, Kuwait, UAE, and Thailand, playing in a double round-robin format. The top team will secure a spot in the U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup to be held in Malaysia next year.
