Seven Nepalis Killed in Maharashtra Train Accident Identified
Mumbai, Jan 25: The identities of seven Nepalis who died in a tragic train accident in Maharashtra, India, have been confirmed. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reported that 12 people, including seven Nepalis, lost their lives in the accident. The government expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
Among the deceased are two individuals from Kailali: Kamala Navin Bhandari (43) and Lachhiram Pasi (40). Four victims were from Achham: Hinduram Bishwakarma (11), Nandaram Padya Bishwakarma (44), Maisara Kami Bishwakarma (42), and Jokla alias Kala Kami (60). Another victim, Radheshyam Radh (32), was from Banke.
Four Nepalis were injured in the accident. Three are receiving treatment at a local hospital, while one, who is critically injured, is being treated at Godavari Hospital in Jalgaon.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working with the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi and the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu to repatriate the bodies and ensure timely medical care for the injured.
The accident occurred on Magh 22 at around 5:05 pm near Pardhade station in Jalgaon district, Maharashtra.
