Kathmandu, Feb 7: US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order banning third-gender athletes from competing in women’s sports. Declaring the move a victory for women’s athletics, Trump emphasized that only biological women should participate in female sports categories.

“We will protect the proud tradition of women’s athletics, and we will not allow men to beat, hurt, or cheat our women and girls,” Trump stated while addressing athletes at the White House.

Earlier, Trump had vowed to take action against transgender participation in women’s sports upon returning to office. After signing the order, he declared, “Consider this issue completely settled.”

Standing among female athletes and children, Trump reiterated that the ruling aims to maintain fairness in women’s sports and uphold competitive integrity.
