Real Madrid and Atletico Draw 1-1 as Barcelona Closes the Gap
Kathmandu, Feb 10: Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid played to a 1-1 draw in their La Liga clash on Sunday night, allowing Barcelona to narrow the points gap with a dominant 4-1 victory over Sevilla.
Atletico took an early lead through a penalty, converted by Julian Alvarez, but Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe equalized in the 50th minute. Despite both teams pushing for a winner, the match ended in a stalemate.
Meanwhile, Barcelona secured a convincing win over Sevilla, with goals from Robert Lewandowski, Lopez, Raphinha, and Garcia. Sevilla’s Vargas managed to score a consolation goal.
Following these results, Real Madrid remains at the top of the table with 50 points, closely followed by Atletico Madrid with 49 points. Barcelona now sits in third place with 48 points from 23 games.
