Kathmandu, May 3: The Nagdhunga-Naubise section of the Tribhuvan Rajpath will be closed at night starting May 7 due to ongoing construction and improvement work on the Nagdhunga-Piplamod road.

Superintendent of Police Apil Raj Bohara, spokesperson for the District Police Complex Kathmandu, confirmed that the Nagdhunga-Mugling Road Project (Eastern Section) has made necessary traffic arrangements in coordination with the concerned District Administration Office. A public notice has been issued accordingly.

During the closure, vehicles from Kathmandu will be halted at the Nagdhunga checkpoint, while those coming from Naubise will be stopped at the Khatrapauwa Bridge. Alternative routes such as the Sitapaila–Bhimdhunga–Ramkot–Dharke road and the Samakhushi–Tokha–Gurjebhanjyang–Chhare–Trishuli–Galchi road have been recommended.

Vehicles halted at designated points will be allowed to move only after 3 a.m. Authorities have urged drivers to maintain lane discipline and avoid overtaking during traffic jams.
