Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. Makes Portugal U-15 Debut, Set to Play in Croatia Tournament

Kathmandu, May 7: Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., the eldest son of football legend Cristiano Ronaldo, has been selected for the Portugal Under-15 national team for the first time. The 14-year-old will be part of a 22-member squad participating in the Vlatko Markovic International Tournament in Croatia starting May 13.

The tournament will feature teams from England, Greece, and Japan alongside Portugal. Ronaldo Jr., currently training at Al-Nassr’s youth academy in Saudi Arabia, previously played for the academies of Manchester United and Juventus, following his father’s club path.

Cristiano Ronaldo Sr., 40, expressed his pride on Instagram, sharing a photo with his son and writing: “Proud of you, boy!” The senior Ronaldo, Portugal’s top goal scorer with 136 goals in 219 appearances, is eyeing a spot in the 2026 World Cup, which could be his sixth.

Ronaldo has also shown interest in one day playing alongside his son, a historic moment football fans now see as more possible than ever.
