Kathmandu, January 14. China rolled out the prototype of its new technology “maglev” train that can run at 620 km per hour, the fastest of any vehicles running on earth.

The mega train is equipped with a high temperature superconducting(HTS) technology that is domestically developed with an investment of 9.3 million USD.

The makers claimed that HTS enables the train to float in the line without electricity and can be moved with just one hand. The train is specifically designed to operate in extremely cold temperatures.

The 21-meter long prototype was showcased on Wednesday in southwest China’s city of Chengdu. A new 165-meter line was constructed for the launching event.
