Nepal Medical Association announces ‘Red Alert’ across the country
Kathmandu, May 12. Nepal Medical Association has declared a red alert across the country as the covid pandemic is spreading rapidly. The association issued a statement on Wednesday declaring that Nepal’s health sector is in critical condition.
The release mentions that the health system of Nepal has reached a stage where the number of infected people have increased so much that the sector cannot withstand. The association is of the view that such a dire situation has been created today due to the government’s failure to make necessary preparations in time. The union has appealed to the president to unite all parties, and fight against the pandemic rather than focusing on political tensions.
The association has also asked everyone to stand together and fight this pandemic.
