Vaccine tourism: Travel agencies lure Indians for travel package to Russia along with two jabs of Sputnik V vaccine
The travel package is of 24 days and is priced at INR 1.29-2.24 lakhs
Kathmandu, May 19. As India continues to struggle with the second wave of the pandemic, a new concept of vaccine tourism has attracted a lot of Indians.
Travel agencies from Delhi to Dubai have started to offer travel packages from India to Russia that includes the travellers to get the two doses of the Russian vaccine, Sputnik V. The travel package is for 24 days and is priced from INR 1.29-2.24 lakhs.
The pricing includes all the sightseeing costs and vaccine costs along with the certificate. The trip will let Indians travel to two cities of Russia namely, Moscow and St. Petersberg.
Travel agents at other cities including Kolkata also have been planning for the India-Russia vaccine tourism and authorities are confident that it will be successful once the restrictions are eased. The authorities from the travel agent federation of India have said that they have talked with the Russian consulates and travel agents and revealing that they have got a green signal.
