Huawei to launch their own operating system

Kathmandu, June 2. Huawei is about to launch their own operating system named ‘Harmony OS’.
The decision comes after the the company failed to adapt to Google services after the Chinese company was blacklisted by US.
US blocked the company citing reasons that China might put in an espionage through the company, which they have denied. The blacklisting came as a major blow to Huawei as it relied on major technologies from US.
Huawei currently ranks seventh globally and third in China. It is followed by a 50% drop in smartphone shipments in the first quarter of this year compared to last year.
Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) to solve the issues related to Huawei users. They have said that they have over 120,000 apps; although lacking from apps such as Instagram, Facebook, Gmail, YouTube or Twitter. HMS provides shortcuts to the sites of Google services, since they do not have direct access.
Chinese Huawei users will be unlikely affected as Google is banned in China. But, overseas users are likely to be affected.
