Kathmandu, Febbruary 17. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has said on Thursday that Japan will be easing their virus border rules for business people and students entering the country from March. Tourists will still be barred from visiting the country.

The decision came after Japan’s business community pressured on easing restrictions.

Japan had loosened the rules last November for business people and students but quickly reversed as omicron cases started to escalate. While experts say that cases are on the rise in Japan, the daily entrants into Japan will increase from 3,500 to 5,000 post easing of the rules.

Japan has made tough border restrictions as a measure for controlling covid.

It is revealed that people coming from countries of low risk with three vaccines will not have to quarantine themselves. The countries of low risk, however has not been specified.
