Kathmandu, April 11. Shehbaz Sharif has been declared the new prime minister of Pakistan, after the ouster of Imran Khan.

Khan was ousted after losing a no-confidence vote on Sunday. He also avoided an initial no confidence vote by dissolving the parliament. However, the Supreme Court declared the move illegal.

The opposition supported Sharif’s nomination for the prime minister on Sunday. Furthermore, Sharif is the younger brother of three-time prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

On Monday, Khan’s supporters have started protesting against Khan’s ouster. Khan had called his supporters to take to the streets and said that it was a conspiracy of US to remove him.
