Russia claims control over urban area of Mariupol

Kathmandu, April 17. Russians have claimed the urban area of the city of Mariupol in Ukraine.
The Russian forces said Saturday that the area is clear of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries. Further, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said the remaining forces have been stopped at the Azovstal iron and steel works plants.
However, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry revealed their forces have been still fighting against the Russian forces.
Moreover, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy has cautioned Russia that the negotiations will come to a halt if the Ukrainian forces are eradicated from Mariupol.
