Kathmandu, May 16. Iran has demanded a response for the stalled Vienna nuclear talks from the United States(US).
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh said, “If the United States announces its political decision, we can take an important step in this regard.” He further added Iran’s rights to be respected and pressures exerted by former president Trump to be removed.
In July 2015, Iran and world powers signed a nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Trump pulled Washington out of the agreement in May 2018.
Moreover, eight rounds of talks have been held since April 2021 with the parties to revive the pact.
