Kathmandu, June 1. The annual General Meeting of the Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies ( NARA) has voiced concern about a growing threat to the rafting industry. Increasing river pollution and irresponsible mining, they say, have put white water rafting in Nepal under threat.

Responding to the concern, Taranath Adhikari, Director General of the Department of Tourism, said that the department was working hard to address difficulties in the tourism industry as a whole.

“Tourism entrepreneurs are principally responsible for identifying solutions to the industry’s current issues, and the Department stands ready to work with them in this regard,” Adhikari requested the businesses to join hands for the recovery of the pandemic-hit tourism industry.
