ATM machine with Rs 15 lakh stolen from Pokhara

Kathmandu, July 21. An unidentified robber in Pokhara, broke a private bank’s Automated Teller Machine (ATM), containing 15 lakh rupees.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Sundar Tiwari informed reporters that the incident took place at an ATM booth of the commercial class NMB Bank. 

A day before the incident, 17 lakh rupees was added to the ATM. Only Rs 200,000 was withdrawn by customers. The remaining sum of around 15 lakhs was stolen.

The cash box of the ATM machine was later found empty at Bichari Chautari at Arghochowk. 

“We have deployed a team to conduct an intense investigation into the case and nab the criminals,” Tiwari said.
