Nepal Government pledges NRs. 20 million of relief package to Pakistan

Kathmandu, September 12. Nepal Government has pledged NRs. 20 million worth of relief materials to Pakistan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement on Monday revealed the decision was made through decision from the cabinet.

According to media reports, floods in Pakistan has displaced more than a million people and killed around 1,000 people. Areas affected by the floods include provinces of Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The government of Pakistan asked for international humanitarian response as they were battling the disaster. Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif announced funds of 38 billion Pakistani Rupees for relief and rehabilitation.

In the statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal, Nepal Government has expressed sorrow over the disaster and condolences to those who lost their lives.
