Dr. Mahato appointed Chairman of Board of Directors of Machhapuchhre Bank
Kathmandu, November 30. Dr. Upendra Mahato has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited. He is founding President of Non-Resident Nepali Association and is currently engaged as the President of Phul Kumari Mahato Memorial Trust.
Dr. Mahato is also a well-known philanthropist and international entrepreneur with business ventures in many European, African and Asian countries. Additionally, he holds Ph.D. and D.Sc. degrees in Soil Mechanics (Landslides) from the International Academy of Information Technology, Minsk, Belarus.
Moreover, he is a life-time member of Association of Nepalese in America, and International Literary Society, Washington DC.
Dr. Mahato has been awarded with Suprarwal Janasewa Award for recognition of his contribution in the overall development of the country in 2009 along with Sukirtimava Rastradeep Bibhushan Award in 2021.
