Five Nepal Police DIGs receive promotion to AIG positions

Kathmandu, March 20. On Monday, the Prime Minister’s Cabinet announced the promotion of five Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) to Additional Inspector General (AIG) positions.
This decision was based on the recommendation by a special committee led by Home Secretary Binod Prakash Singh. The committee had presented the recommendation list to the Cabinet on March 10.
The newly promoted officers of Nepal Police are:
- Chief of Madhes Police Office DIG Basanta Bahadur Kunwar
- Chief of Lumbini Police Office DIG Tek Prasad Rai
- Chief of Bagmati Police Office DIG Deepak Thapa
- Chief of Koshi Police Office DIG Shyamalal Gyawali
- Director of Financial Administration and Management, Police Headquarters, DIG Kiran Bajracharya.
