Kathmandu, June 7. On Tuesday, Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) confirmed that a security guard, Dhan Bahadur Rana, was found dead at the newly-constructed building.

PADT spokesperson Rewati Raman Adhikari stated, “The organization is deeply saddened by the unfortunate incident.”

PADT employees cleaning the office premises made the grim discovery. Adhikari further added, “The employees immediately informed the Gaushala Police Office about the incident.”

According to PADT, Rana had been transferred from the gardening section to the security unit. In relation to this, Adhikari noted, “We had recently made the transfer considering the security requirements of the building.”

The police, upon reaching the site, found Rana’s body hanging. Deputy Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Babu Khadka remarked, “The initial examination suggests that it might be a case of suicide.”

Khadka also mentioned that the body has been sent to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, for post-mortem examination. He stated, “We are awaiting the autopsy report for further insights into the cause of death.”

Further investigation into the incident is currently underway, Khadka said. He emphasized, “We are examining all possible angles to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.”
