Kanchanpur, Dec 13: Mahakali Ghat in Kanchanpur is set to reopen today as the contract agreement for the extraction of non-river material from the site has been finalized.
Kathmandu’s Tiger-Sagarmatha JV secured the contract for the ghat with a bid of 77.7 million, including VAT. Mahendra Khadka, spokesperson for Bhimdatta Municipality, confirmed that with the completion of the contract process, Mahakali River Ghat will be reopened from today.
Bhimdatta Municipality and Dodhara-Chandni Municipality jointly initiated the contract for the collection of royalties from natural resources in the Mahakali River, including rocks, gravel, sand, and gravel.
