Hurricane Helen Claims 43 Lives in Southeastern United States

Kathmandu, Sept 28: Hurricane Helen has claimed the lives of 43 people as it swept through the southeastern United States, causing severe damage and flooding.

The storm made landfall in Florida on Friday night, bringing devastation to the states of South Carolina and Georgia. Roads in parts of Georgia are submerged, and 15 people have lost their lives in the state alone.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning and advised more than 1 million people to evacuate due to high risk. Cleanup efforts have begun in Florida, where the storm has left most homes destroyed.

Hurricane Helen continues to move through Georgia, Tennessee, and into the Carolinas, leaving a trail of destruction.
