China’s Shenzhou-19 Spacecraft Reaches Tiangong Station with Three Astronauts
Kathmandu, Oct 30: China’s Shenzhou-19 spacecraft has successfully reached the Tiangong space station after a six-hour journey, carrying three astronauts, including the country’s first female space engineer.
The astronauts will stay at the station for six months, conducting experiments and spacewalks. China aims to use the knowledge from these missions to send a man to the moon by 2030, further advancing its ambitions in space exploration.
China has declared the launch of Shenzhou-19 a success, signaling its intent to outpace the United States in the ongoing space race.
Two years ago, President Xi Jinping emphasized his vision of making China a major space power through sustained efforts in space exploration.
The mission is piloted by experienced astronaut Kai Shuze, who is accompanied by a younger crew from the 1990s generation. “Their youthful energy makes me feel younger and more confident,” said Shuze.
