Tragic Bus Accident in Guatemala Leaves 51 Dead

Kathmandu, Feb 11: A passenger bus plunged from a bridge outside Guatemala City, killing at least 51 people. According to Fire Brigade Officer Edwin Villagran, the bus fell into a 35-meter-deep ditch after colliding with several vehicles.
Half of the bus was submerged in water, making it difficult for passengers to escape. The bus was traveling from Progreso to the capital when the accident occurred.
In response to the tragedy, Guatemala’s president has declared a three-day public mourning period. Rescue efforts are ongoing.
