India Defeats Australia to Reach Champions Trophy Final

Kathmandu, March 5: India has secured a spot in the ICC Champions Trophy final after defeating Australia by four wickets in the first semi-final.
Chasing a target of 265 runs, India reached 266/6 in 48.1 overs. Virat Kohli led the charge with 84 runs, while Shreyas Iyer contributed 45. KL Rahul added 42 runs, and captain Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya chipped in with 28 runs each.
Earlier, Australia posted 264 runs in 49.3 overs. Captain Steve Smith was the top scorer with 72 runs, followed by Alex Carey with 61. Travis Head (39), Marnus Labuschagne (29), Ben Dwarshuis (19), and Nathan Ellis (11) also contributed.
Indian bowler Mohammad Shami was the standout performer, taking three wickets. Varun Chakravarthy and Ravindra Jadeja picked up two wickets each, while Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel claimed one wicket apiece.
India will now face the winner of the second semi-final between South Africa and New Zealand in the Champions Trophy final on Sunday.
