Kathmandu, March 7: CPN-UML Secretary and MP Yogesh Bhattarai has urged Foreign Minister Dr. Arjun Kumar Rana to seek China’s assistance in constructing a road from Taplejung to the Tibetan border.
During a meeting on Friday, Bhattarai requested the government to facilitate the construction of an 85 km road from Taplejung district headquarters to Tipatla on the Tibetan border. He also asked for the postponement of the formal discussion process.
The recommendation from the District Administration Office, Taplejung, along with a preliminary cost estimate, has already been submitted to Minister Rana.
