Kathmandu, March 8: Nepal has set a target of 93 runs for Namibia in the opening match of the four-nation Women’s Twenty20 series.
After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Nepal scored 92 runs, losing all wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Opener Samjhana Khadka was the top scorer with 18 runs off 11 balls, including four boundaries.
Kavita Jaishi and Ishwari Bista contributed 16 runs each, while Pooja Mahato added 13 runs.
Namibia’s Wilka Mwatil and Mekelanye Mattil were the standout bowlers, each taking three wickets to restrict Nepal to a modest total.
