Israeli Airstrike Kills 55 Palestinians in Gaza

Kathmandu, March 21: The Hamas-run Civil Defense Agency has confirmed that 55 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza overnight as Israel resumed its bombing and ground operations this week.
According to the Hamas-run Health Ministry, more than 430 people have died in Israeli attacks over the past two days.
Hamas has condemned Israel’s latest operations, calling them a serious violation of the ceasefire agreement that had been in place since January. However, Israel resumed airstrikes on Tuesday after ceasefire extension talks failed.
Israel has stated that it will continue its attacks until the remaining hostages held by Hamas are released. According to Israel, Hamas still holds 59 hostages, with 24 believed to be alive.
On Thursday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the launch of ground operations in Gaza, calling it a limited mission to create a security zone between northern and southern Gaza. IDF spokesperson Colonel Abhikhay Andre stated that Israeli troops have been deployed to the Netzarim corridor, which divides the north and south of Gaza.
