Hyderabad, April 29: Director SS Rajamouli’s iconic film Baahubali: The Beginning is set to return to theaters this October, both in India and international markets, producer Shobu Yarlagadda confirmed on Monday.

The re-release of the 2015 epic will include never-before-seen footage and surprises, reigniting excitement among fans of the franchise.

Starring Prabhas in the lead role, Baahubali is celebrated for breaking linguistic and regional barriers in Indian cinema, uniting northern and southern audiences. It became the first South Indian film to gross over ₹100 crore in its dubbed Hindi version, and eventually earned ₹650 crore worldwide, making it the second highest-grossing Indian film at the time.

The film’s sequel, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, shattered even more records upon release in 2017, cementing the franchise’s legendary status.

Yarlagadda had earlier hinted at the film’s return, but confirmed the news via social media:

“Yes, Baahubali: The Beginning is coming back to the big screen globally in October—with added scenes and special surprises for the fans!”

This re-release is expected to reignite interest in the franchise and introduce a new generation of viewers to one of Indian cinema’s most ambitious productions.
