‘Curfew’ and ‘emergency’ baseless: MoHA
Kathmandu. The Ministry of Home Affairs has clarified that the information circulating around various electronic media anticipating a state of emergency and curfew is unfounded.
The Ministry released a statement today stating that it had received false information about the crisis and the imposition of curfew on social and other electronic media, adding that it was a security sensitive issue.
“The information is reported to be factless, misleading, baseless and inaccurate,” the ministry asserted. The statement issued by the Ministry’s spokesperson Chakra Bahadur Budha mentioned that the necessary investigation process has begun to take such incidents seriously so as to curtail the spread of false news.
