An American who was made hostage in Nigeria rescued by US Navy SEAL

Kathmandu. An American who was kept as a hostage in Northern Nigeria was rescued by the United States Navy SEAL (Sea, Air, Land)’s team. The hostage, Philip Walton was rescued by the SEAL commandos. The commandos jumped from a plane, landed few miles away from the target, but were successfully able to rescue Walton by killing his captors.

According to an article in Fox News, the hostage was captured by armed men last week. President Donald Trump tweeted in favor of the commandos and praised them for their heroic deeds. He stated, “Last night, our Country’s brave warriors rescued an American hostage in Nigeria. Our Nation salutes the courageous soldiers behind the daring nighttime rescue operation and celebrates the safe return of yet another
American citizen!”

According to Jonathan Hoffman, chief Pentagon spokesman, no military men of the US Army were injured during the rescue task. The US Navy SEAL 6 team was chosen for the operation as they were in charge of West Africa.
