Battleground states Updates: Biden wins Arizona, as Trump leads by a slim margin in Georgia and Michigan
Arizona, considered to be a Republican state, turned blue for Joe Biden, this year.
Kathmandu. The elections are getting heated as Former Vice-President Joe Biden leads with 238 electoral votes and Donald J. Trump currently stands with 213.
For the candidates to win, they must hit the magic number, 270.
Trump has claimed an early victory despite millions of votes still remaining to be counted due to the mail-in ballots. The COVID-19 crisis has resulted in several people submitting such ballots, and many are yet to be counted in the key Battleground states. Donald Trump has warned that he will take matters to the Supreme court if need be. Conservatives have a majority of 6-3 in the Supreme Court since Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation.
Biden’s campaign manager has deemed these threats to be “Outrageous, Unprecedented, and Incorrect,” and that “if the president makes good on his threat to go to court to try to prevent the proper tabulation of votes, we have legal teams standing by ready to deploy to resist that effort. And they will prevail.”
Wisconsin is witnessing Biden’s lead within the last few hours, as the polls previously predicted.
