Company selected to prepare master plan of Nijgadh International Airport
Kathmandu. Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has selected a company to prepare the master plan of the Nijgadh International Airport, a project of ‘national pride’ of the country. CG Infrata-BDA (JV), an international Company has been assigned the responsibility.
Director General of CAAN Rajan Pokharel issued the letter of intent (LoI) and confirmed that to commence the construction of the airport, the responsibility to draft a master plan of the project has been given to CG Infrata-BD (JV).
Out of the dozen company interested, six were short listed and detailed proposals were received from three companies. CG Infrata-BDA (JV) had made the lowest bid and chosen for the service.
Few weeks back, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai had instructed CAAN to expedite the construction of the Nijgadh International Airport. The company has been chosen as per the direction of the ministry.
