Teacher shot dead in Morang by Biplav group

Kathmandu. The Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ group, banned by the government, has shot  and killed a teacher in  Morang. According to the Morang police, the group kidnapped the teacher in Miklajung  and killed him in the forest.

“Rajendra Shrestha, 54, had been been kidnapped from his home by the members of the Biplav group and taken to the nearby jungle, where he was shot dead,” SP Santosh Khadka of Morang Police informed. “Investigation is underway to find the cause of the killing. Our team has reached the site and the involvement of the Biplav group has also been ascertained,” he added.

The nephew of the deceased had informed the police about the kidnapping and killing of the 54-year-old teacher.

The activities of the Biplav group are found increasing in the eastern hills .Last year, in the fight between the Biplav group and the security forces, a Biplav cadre had been killed.
