Donald Trump accused of sexual harassment in the run-up to elections
As campaigns go head to head and the way to the November 2020 presidential elections, President Donald Trump has been accused of sexual harassment. 48 years old former model and a mother of twins Amy Dorris told The Guardian the incident that took place 24 years ago when Trump was 51.
In the interview she claimed that Donald Trump had groped and forcibly kissed her during the US Open tennis tournament in New York on September 5th, 1997. Amy said that she had thought about telling everyone about the incident in 2016 when Trump was a candidate for the presidency, but she did not say anything for fear of harm coming to her family. She has come forward now as she hopes that she could be a role model to her two daughters.
“My daughters are about to turn 13 and I want to give them the message that no one
should be allowed to do anything that is against their will”, stated Doris.
Jenna Ellis, who serves as the Senior Legal Advisor to Trump, in a CBS news report commented that the allegations are just another pathetic attempt to attack the President right before the
upcoming elections. She further mentioned that her team will consider every legal means available to hold The Guardian accountable for its malicious publication of this unsubstantiated story.
According to The Indian Express, there are already more than two dozen sexual
misconduct allegations against the US President.
