74,400 plus cases put India at the top in Worldometer’s list

Kathmandu. India has the largest number of COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. Worldometer’s COVID-19 data shows the number to be more than 74,400. This increases the infected cases to above 5.5 million. Till date, there have been 88,900 plus casualties with more than 1,000 deaths in the previous 24 hours only.

The data presents a lesser 36, 000 plus cases in the US, the country worst stricken by the pandemic. In total, there have been above 7 million cases. At least. 204,400 people have died of the disease. The last 24-hour death toll is 357, remarkably lesser than in India.

Brazil is the second hard-hit country by COVID-19 after the US. In the past 24 hours the country has experienced an increase of around 15,400 cases taking the total count above 4,560,000. There have been 136,000 casualties in Brazil due to corona complications whereas 455 died in the previous 24 hours.

Although the outbreak started much later in India than in Brazil, India has 1 million more COVID-19 cases.
