Opening game of the English Premier League: Manchester City wins
Kathmandu. Manchester City has started the new season of the English Premier League with a victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers. City beat Wolves with the score of 3-1 on Tuesday morning. Kevin de Bruyne, Phil Foden and Gabriel Jesus all scored in City’s win. Raúl Jiménez scored the only goal for the Wolves.
In the 20th minute of the first half, City’s Bruyne scored from the penalty spot to give their team the lead. City’s Phil Foden doubled their lead in the 32nd minute when he scored another goal. The third goal for them, already with a 2-0 lead in the first half, was scored by Gabriel Jesus in extra time of the second half.
Raúl Jiménez scored for the Wolves in the 78th minute of the second half. City added 3 points by winning the first game while the Wolves tallied 3 points after losing the second game of the league.
