UAE makes world record by conducting more COVID-19 tests than its population

Kathmandu. The UAE has established a world record by conducting more number of COVID-19 tests than its population. According to the Khaleej Times, the nation has conducted 10.32 million tests up until now, amongst states that have a population of more than one million.
Dr. Omar Al Hammadi, the official spokesperson for the government of the UAE, commented that 720,802 tests were conducted between September 30 to October, recording an 8% increase from that of the previous week. According to him, the week saw the number of deaths in the UAE increase by 73%, however he added that, “the death rate from the total infections in September is one of the lowest in the world.”
