Two entry points at Nepal-India border to be opened for three days starting today

Kathmandu. Two entry points at Nepal-India borders that were closed to contain the spread of coronavirus, will be opening for three days starting today. According to an article in Times of India, the two entry points at far-western Nepal, namely Jauljibi pul and Darchula pul shall be opened.
The entry points have been opened so that the Nepalese citizens who have retired from the Indian army and other jobs in India can facilitate their pensions. Many Nepalese who have returned to Nepal after their retirement, visit India often as their pension is deposited in the banks in India.
Darchula District authorities requested their Indian counterparts to open the border as many Nepalese are seeking to collect their pensions ahead of Dashain.
