Ronaldo recovers from COVID-19 after 19 days in self-isolation

Agency. Football club Juventus has announced the recovery of Portugal’s star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo from COVID-19 infection after 19 days of self-isolation.

The 35-year-old star had tested positive for the virus on October 13, a day before Portugal’s match against Sweden in Libson. In his absence, Juventus have won just one of their four matches in all competitions.

He was subjected to a second PCR test on October 22 which was also positive.

Ronaldo has already played against Spain and France in two of Portugal’s matches during the international break. He has till date played a total of 200 matches for his country at the junior and senior level.

Earlier this month, Portuguese goalkeeper Anthony Lopes and defender Jose Fonte had also tested positive for the virus.
