Airport security police housing at TIA complete, can accommodate 350 security personnel

Kathmandu. Construction of the housing for Airport Security Police has been completed at Tribhuvan International Airport.  The housing complex will provide accommodation to 350 security personnel working at the airport.

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai inaugurated the building on Tuesday. As per National News Agency (RSS), Minister Bhattarai had mentioned about discussions being carried with concerned bodies regarding the formation of a separate unit for the security of the airport.

Devendra KC, general manager of the airport, stated that the three-story building was constructed at a cost of Rs 71.51 million.
