Ronaldo wins 18th Golden Foot Award
Kathmandu. Christiano Ronaldo, the star Portuguese footballer, has received the Golden’ Foot Award’ this year.
This is the first time Ronaldo has won this prize. Ronaldo was chosen for the award from among contenders like Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski and Mohamed Salah.
Out of the 10 candidates selected for the award, Ronald received the highest point and became the 18th footballer to receive the Golden Foot Award. Nemar, Giorgio Chellini, Sergio Ramos, Sergio Aguero, Gerard PK and Arturo Vidal were also nominated for the award besides Ronaldo, Messi, Lewandowski and Salah.
The Golden Foot Award is an international football award, given to players who stand out for their athletic achievements (both as individuals and team players) and for their personality. The award is only given to active players of at least 28 years of age, and can only be won once.
Luka Modric of Real Madrid had won the award last year.
