Messenger, Instagram having technical issues

Kathmandu. Social networking company Facebook is trying to solve a technical glitch its social networking sites Messenger and Instagram are facing currently. Users worldwide are affected from the disruption.
Facebook claims “some users are having problems sending messages”. The company hasn’t informed yet about the cause of the problem nor has it been able to solve it. A spokesperson of the company said, “We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.”
Reuters mentions that there have been several hundreds of complaints regarding the disturbance in the service of Messenger and Instagram as per the tracking site Downdetector.com.
Update: Facebook has resolved the problem at around 7:45 pm Nepali local time.
