Case filed against Saif Ali Khan for hurting religious sentiments
Kathmandu. Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has landed into legal trouble. A case has been filed against him for hurting religious sentiments.
A case has been filed in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh against the statement he gave in an interview for his upcoming movie, Adipurush. Saif said, “It’s interesting to play a demon king, less strictures in that. But we will make him humane, up the entertainment quotient, justify his abduction of Sita and the war with Ram as revenge for what was done to his sister Surpanakha by Lakshman, who cut off her nose.” He received many criticisms post his statement in online platforms as well, after which he took back his statement.
Saif Ali Khan is playing the role of Ravan in the movie ‘Adipurush’ , which is said to be an adaptation of Ramayana. A case has been filed in the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) and hearing is scheduled to take place on December 23.
