Dead couple discovered in Tokha

Kathmandu, Jan 9: The dead bodies of a couple were found at the Green Villa Colony in Tokha of Kathmandu. The bodies were identified to be of Engineer Umesh KC and his wife Engineer Sudiksha Giri who had recently returned from the USA and were staying at the Colony for the last few days.

According to Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Pramesh Bista, Umesh’s body was found lying inside the room with blood flowing from his ear. Umesh has bruises and injuries all over his body. There was a scar on his back and blood was all over his body. Similarly, his wife Sudiksha was found hanging and seemed to have suffered strangulation before dying.

The dead bodies discovered on Friday evening was taken to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital at Maharajgunj for Postmortem.  According to the police, a stain of blood was found on a grinding stone “Silauto” near Umesh’s body.

The Police have also speculated that Sudiksha may have killed her husband with Silauto and committed suicide by hanging herself as her body was found in a locked room. Umesh was preparing to fly back to the United States next week.
