Former King Gyanendra Shah congratulates the Mount K2 Nepali climbers

Kathmandu, January 29. Former King Gyanendra has congratulated Mount K2 Nepali climbers for making the first ever winter ascent new mountaineering history by climbing the world’s second highest peak Mt K2 (8,611 meters) in Pakistan.

In a congratulatory message issued on Friday, Gyanendra mentioned that they have successfully climbed the mount K2 during the winter season and has enhanced the prestige of Nepalis in the world.

Similarly, two weeks ago, 10 Nepali climbers Nirmal Purja, Gelje Sherpa, Mingma David Sherpa, Mingma G, Sona Sherpa, Mingma Tenzi Sherpa, Pem Chiri Sherpa, Dawa Temba Sherpa, Kili Pemba Sherpa and Dawa Tenjing Sherpa had successfully climbed Mount K2.
