Kathmandu, May 24. While prime minister KP Sharma Oli is planning to include Janata Samajwadi Party(JSP) in the new cabinet, Former Chief of Army Staff Retired General Rupmangat Katuwal secretly enters the Indian Embassy.

Over the past few days, the leaders of the JSP, Mahanta Thakur and Rajendra Mahato have been spotted paying multiple visits to Indian Embassy at lainchaur.

In such a context, what does Katuwal’s visit indicate?

On Sunday, Katuwal arrived in lainchaur to meet the Indian ambassador Vinay Mohan Kwatra. But, due to Kwatra’s busy schedule, Katuwal had to return back after a short talk with other senior officials.

Katuwal, who is famous for creating social media waves for the need for political transparency, has not yet disclosed the purpose of his visit. However, the reason for him to visit as a former army chief does not remain a complete secret.

According to a high ranking security source, the former Chief wants to join the Oli-led government through the hands of the unified madhesi group. “He wants to serve the country as a home minister,” the source added.

National security agencies have noticed that the former chief has been actively participating in the events of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the mother organization of Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP).

During those events, he has been talking about the negative positions of present politics in Nepal, indirectly calling for monarchy.
