Ceremony Director of Tokyo Olympics dismissed for commenting on “Holocaust”

Kathmandu, July 22. The organizers of the Tokyo Olympics 2020 have dismissed the opening ceremony’s director just one day before the opening ceremony, which is scheduled for tomorrow.

Kentaro Kobayashi, the director of the Tokyo Olympic Games’ opening ceremony, was caught making Holocaust-related remarks in a comedy skit video that was recorded in 1998. The video with Kentaro’s comments has gone viral on the internet.

The organizers stated in an official release, “We deeply apologize for any inconvenience brought to relevant stakeholders, Tokyo, and Japanese people, as this incident took place prior to the opening ceremony.”

Meanwhile, with the resignation of the event’s main individual, the organizers are devising new ways to ensure that the ceremony runs successfully.
